Kelston Deaf Education Centre .::. Staff Profiles

Anderina McLean is the Library Team Leader and works in the KDEC Library and Resource Centre on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Before becoming a librarian Anderina was a teacher. She has also worked as a story-teller. Anderina loves reading, baking, and playing Scrabble, and is looking forward to competing in the Scrabble Masters competition for the first time this Easter.

Anderina lives in New Lynn with her husband Andrew and pet bunny rabbit Mica. She can often be seen walking to and from work along Rimu St, singing along with her MP3 player.

Susan Wallace joins us in the Library, working Monday to Wednesday.

She has come from Auckland Museum Library, and has just completed her Masters degree in Library & Information Services. She is looking forward to working at KDEC and making the Library a great place to visit. Susan emigrated to NZ from the UK with her husband six years ago. She loves visiting West Coast beaches and going on bush walks. In her spare time you’ll find her knitting or crocheting, or running around after her 2-year-old son. In previous lives she has been a professional singer, a tour guide, and a tractor driver.

Brenda is the Assistant Librarian at Kelston Deaf Education Centre. She also works in the Media Centre, photocopying and laminating resources.
