Children’s Hearing Aid Funding

Enable is contracted to administer the Children’s Hearing Aid Fund. Full funding for hearing aids is applied for by the child’s audiologist. The application is sent to Kelston Deaf Education Centre and requires approval by the KDEC Senior Audiologist before Enable will provide the funding and arrange delivery of the hearing aids to the child’s audiology clinic.

This service is available for children up till the age of 21 while they are enrolled in full time education. Van Asch Deaf Education Centre provides the application approval service for children outside the KDEC zone.
