Welcome to the Resource Department

The Resource Department at Kelston Deaf Education Centre supports the following services:

1. To provide deaf and hearing impaired students with support for ongoing access to assistive listening devices (including hearing aids and FM systems), appropriate professional assessment and ongoing support.

2. Creation, storage, adaptation and provision of curriculum support and extension resources.

3. Provision for residential and in-service training for providers of support services to deaf and hearing impaired.

The services of the Resource department are provided through five teams of staff:

1. Audiology

2. Library and Media Centre

3. New Zealand Sign Language

4. Staff Interpreters

5. Technology, Archives and Resource Production
