The Board of Trustees is accountable for student achievement. They do this by providing an environment that supports and encourages quality educational outcomes. They are responsible for ensuring that they focus their strategic planning on improving student achievement and teaching and learning programmes. The Board is made up of five parent representatives, a staff representative, a student representative, the Principal and up to four co-opted representatives who currently provide specific input on behalf of the Deaf community, Maori and regional families.
The Kelston Deaf Education Centre Board of Trustees meets every month and these meetings are open to the public. Meetings for 2010: 17th February, 24th March, 19th May, 23rd June, 25th August, 22nd September, 27th October, 24th November and 8th December.
